About the Role
Provide hands-on assistance to clients in their homes, offering challenging yet rewarding support that makes a difference in the lives of older adults. This part-time role is ideal for students, parents, or semi-retirees seeking flexible hours and a small-team environment with responsive supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers while maintaining client dignity.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and maintain tidy living spaces, including light laundry.
- Support daily mobility and exercise through gentle walks or therapist-approved stretches.
- Provide medication reminders and note any changes in client wellness.
- Offer meaningful companionship through conversation, games, or outings to appointments and shops.
Requirements
- Experience as a caregiver, HHA, PCA, or in a similar role preferred (training available for candidates with the right attitude).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or commitment to earn within 30 days).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills with a strong respect for client privacy.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a passion for enriching the lives of older adults.
