Caregiver

We are a licensed 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) located in Buena Park, California, providing high-quality, compassionate care in a warm, home-like environment. About the role

We are seeking a dependable and caring Caregiver / Resident Assistant to join our team. Positions are available for live-in caregivers with private accommodations and hourly caregivers for day and evening shifts. The ideal candidate will provide personal care and daily living assistance while maintaining compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and Title 22 regulations. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers.
• Assist with meal preparation (cooking), meal service, hydration, and medication reminders.
• Engage residents in conversation, companionship, and daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and infection control standards.
• Record daily care logs, observations, and incident reports accurately.
• Communicate any changes in resident condition promptly to the Administrator.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months – 1 year of caregiving experience (RCFE, assisted living, or home-care setting preferred).
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly to maintain state-mandated documentation.
• Spanish speaking.
• Ability to lift, safely assist with resident transfers.
• Live Scan fingerprint clearance and criminal background check required prior to start date.
• Current TB test and health screening (within the last 6 months or willing to obtain).
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Must have, or be willing to complete, the state-mandated 40-hour RCFE caregiver training.
• Medication training preferred.
