Our caregivers help clients feel listened to, respected, and in control of their lives by preparing favorite meals, assisting with daily routines, or simply taking a walk around the block. We serve clients with a wide range of needs and are deeply committed to helping older adults live safe, fulfilled, and independent lives at home.
Care and Help Home Care, LLC provides non-skilled services to individuals in their homes or other independent living environments, including assistance with self-administration of medications, personal care (hygiene, dressing, feeding), homemaking (housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation), transportation, companionship, and respite care. All direct care workers complete a minimum of 40 hours of training or a state certification program covering personal hygiene, safe transfer techniques, infection control, and basic nutrition, along with supervised practical training before client contact.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, transportation, ambulation, and transfers
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and incontinence care
- Offer companionship and emotional support to seniors and loved ones
- Provide medication reminders as needed
- Accurately document daily activities, health status, and client well-being in care logs
Requirements & Preferences
- PCA, HHA, or CNA certification (preferred)
- Open availability strongly preferred
- Ability to meet all job-related qualifications and licensing requirements
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, conducted after a conditional offer of employment and in accordance with Philadelphia’s Fair Criminal Record Screening Standards and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. All caregivers providing Medicaid-funded personal care and home health services must enroll in and comply with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) as mandated by the 21st Century CURES Act, maintaining a minimum 85% compliance rate for all visits.
