Caregiver Responsibilities

• Observation of client functioning and reporting changes to supervisor.
• Aid with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Respond promptly to client requests.
• Provide companionship and socialization.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Change bed linens and do laundry.
• Handle personal errands as requested by client or agency.
• Assist with medication administration and reminders.
• Support personal hygiene and dressing needs.
• Assist with transferring as needed.
• Engage in socialization and companionship.
• Operate within the limits of the individual assignment.
• Follow infection control policies, including proper hand washing.
• Communicate effectively with supervisory staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Document care provided and observations accurately.
• Treat clients and families with respect and maintain confidentiality.

Caregiver Requirements

• Reliable vehicle, driver’s license, and valid auto insurance.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Previous caregiving experience required.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Professional demeanor, self-motivated, reliable, and compassionate.
• Dependable, tactful, patient, and able to follow instructions.
