Caregiver

About the role

Assisting Hands Home Care is looking for Caregivers, CNAs, and Home Health Aides who want to provide meaningful, dependable support to seniors and individuals in their homes. Every client has their own routines, preferences, and needs. Your role is to provide the support outlined in their individualized care plan while helping them remain comfortable and independent at home.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
• Prepare meals and help with light household chores
• Provide companionship and meaningful interaction
• Assist with mobility and everyday activities
• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Follow the client's care plan and scheduled routines
• Document services provided
• Communicate important changes or concerns with the office

The care you provide can have a direct impact on a client's comfort, confidence, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements

We're looking for people who are dependable, compassionate, patient, and comfortable working directly with clients in their homes.

• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
• Home care, private duty, CNA, HHA, or similar experience is a plus but not required
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Current auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)

Location

Our team provides care throughout the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, including Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, Park Ridge, and surrounding communities. Caregivers must be willing to travel throughout our service area based on client needs and availability.
