Caregiver

About the role

Always Best Care Senior Services of Alexandria is seeking experienced care professionals to provide in-home personal care services to seniors in the greater Alexandria area.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. - Assist with mobility and transfers. - Prepare and serve nutritious meals. - Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning. - Monitor and report changes in the client’s health and behavior. - Maintain a safe and clean living environment. - Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent - Virginia resident - Relevant certification or license (i.e. CNA, HHA, PCA) sponsored by Virginia Board of Nursing - Previous experience as a caregiver or related field - Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients - Excellent communication skills - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - Two (2) professional references - Ability to pass criminal record check
