Caregiver

About the Role

We are seeking a Caregiver to assist a bedbound client in Plainville 7 days a week for a total of 56 hours. The chosen candidate will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday–Sunday: 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm, or 10am–6pm
• Tuesday: 2pm–10pm

Responsibilities

• Provides daily routine care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Responsible for house maintenance when applicable
• Answers phone calls for clients when necessary
• Converses with patients to provide assurance
• Observes Universal Precautions
• Provides patient transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities, and shopping
• Handles patient laundry and linen changes
• Performs light housekeeping
• Provides medication reminders
• Prepares meals and cleans up afterward

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Non-Medical Caregiver required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Must have a cell phone or tablet
