About the role

Our Hermiston/Pendleton branch serves clients in Hermiston, Boardman, Heppner, and surrounding areas.

  • Short shifts (3 to 5 hours)
  • Stack or split shifts available
  • Evening shifts in all areas
  • Drivers preferred
  • Clients in the Hermiston, Heppner, Lexington, Umatilla, Boardman, and Arlington areas
  • Overnight shifts available in the Hermiston area (Sunday through Thursday)
  • Lead Caregiver positions available in the Hermiston area (1 to 2 years experience required)

Responsibilities

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

  • Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
  • Cooking and/or serving meals
  • Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
  • Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
  • Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
  • Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs and up to 50 lbs rarely
  • Must own a smartphone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app
  • Ability to pass a state and national background check
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
  • Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed

Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program (due to state requirements). You can complete the training while working and will have 120 days to finish it.

Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will need to complete it along with the nurse-led medication training before working with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings.
