Caregiver - ALL Shifts (Full AND Part Time)
Job Description
The Caregiver is a part of the Cornerstone team, supporting the mission of fostering safe, engaging, and person-centered environments for seniors. Responsibilities include following individual service plans, communicating changes in resident status, and assisting with various personal care tasks.
Duties
- Obtains vital signs and notifies the supervising nurse of deviations.
- Fulfills tasks from the daily task sheets.
- Communicates with supervisors about resident changes and home situations.
- Utilizes standard precautions and infection control procedures.
- Prepares resident progress notes and submits documentation promptly.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for residents.
- Exhibits a caring and respectful attitude towards residents and their property.
- Works with the Resident Services Director and team to build relationships and communicate with residents and families.
- Aids with activities and encourages resident engagement.
- Upholds confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
- Attends in-service meetings and training sessions.
- Reports observations and concerns to supervisors.
- Creates and maintains resident records.
- Performs housekeeping duties and follows safety compliance.
- Assists with kitchen duties as needed.
- Carries out special duties as assigned.
Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to have a flexible work schedule.
Physical Requirements
- Drug free.
- Clear background.
- No communicable diseases.
- Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
- 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
- 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
- Finger and hand dexterity.
- Visual and hearing acuity.
Experience Preferences
- Experience in senior resident services, social work, health care, or customer service.
- Experience working with older adults and knowledge of aging process.

Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older to apply. Must be drug-free, have a clear background, and no communicable diseases. Physical requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects. Requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching. Must have finger and hand dexterity and visual and hearing acuity.
