Caregiver 8 hour shifts

About the role

Home Care Assistance of Philadelphia’s mission is to change the way the world ages. We provide elderly adults with quality care that enables them to live happier, healthier lives at home. The caregiver will provide assistance with dressing, general caregiving, light housekeeping, some meal preparation, and laundry for a client in Pottstown, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly client with daily living activities, including transfers, bathing, grooming, and medication reminders
• May include light housekeeping, running errands, meal preparation, and laundry

Requirements

• Past experience as a caregiver, either professionally or with family members
• A passion for the job and helping others
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Excellent references from past employers and supervisors
• Current 2‑step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or chest X‑ray (required by PA Dept. of Health)
• In‑person interview required; must be willing to travel to the Chalfont, PA office for interview and paperwork
