Wedding content creators capture the raw, unfiltered moments of weddings—parents’ reactions, quick hugs, happy tears, funny comments, little traditions, dance floor energy, and thoughtful details. These moments are edited into short, shareable reels optimized for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, delivered quickly while the excitement is still fresh.

About the role

As a wedding content creator, you’ll document weddings in real time using a smartphone, focusing on authentic, spontaneous moments rather than posed shots. The goal is to create short-form video content (reels, stories) that couples can share immediately and revisit later. Unlike traditional wedding photography or cinematography, this role emphasizes speed, spontaneity, and digital-first storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Capture raw, natural moments during weddings, including behind-the-scenes emotions, reactions, and small details.
  • Edit footage in real time or shortly after the event into short, engaging reels (portrait mode) for social media.
  • Follow trends while keeping content feeling organic and unforced.
  • Balance being present to catch key moments without interfering with the couple or guests.
  • Adapt to each couple’s aesthetic preferences—whether emotional, fun, or storytelling-driven.
  • Deliver content quickly (often within hours or days) to capitalize on the excitement of the event.
  • Work intuitively to anticipate moments before they happen, as there are no retakes.
  • Ensure content is high-quality, well-framed, and suitable for instant sharing.
  • Manage client expectations and communicate clearly about what will be captured.

Requirements

  • Experience with smartphone videography and real-time editing (e.g., CapCut, InShot, or similar apps).
  • Strong eye for candid, authentic moments and storytelling.
  • Ability to work quickly and adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and platform-specific content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Stories).
  • Excellent observational skills to anticipate and capture fleeting moments.
  • Professionalism and discretion—weddings are intimate events, and couples rely on you to be unobtrusive.
  • Creativity in tailoring content to different couples’ preferences and wedding themes.
  • Reliability in delivering content on time, often within tight deadlines.

Skills

  • Smartphone videography and photography (iPhone/Android with good camera quality).
  • Real-time or quick-turnaround video editing (e.g., trimming, transitions, text overlays, music syncing).
  • Understanding of lighting, framing, and composition for mobile content.
  • Social media savviness—knowing what works on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Interpersonal skills to build rapport with couples and guests without being intrusive.
  • Time management to balance capturing moments and editing on the fly.
  • Problem-solving to handle unexpected challenges (e.g., low light, crowded spaces).

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work in a growing, creative field with high demand.
  • Flexibility to attend weddings as a content creator, often with a small team or solo.
  • Potential to build a portfolio of diverse, high-impact wedding content.
  • Networking with couples, vendors, and other wedding professionals.
  • Creative freedom to experiment with different styles and trends.

Pay

Rates vary depending on experience, package inclusions (e.g., number of reels, delivery time), and demand. In Bangladesh, wedding content creators may charge a premium due to the novelty of the service, with prices ranging from BDT 15,000 to BDT 50,000 or more per event. Some creators offer tiered packages (e.g., basic, standard, premium) based on the number of reels, editing complexity, and turnaround time.
