Career Services Advisor (Part-Time)

What You’ll Do

• Aid students with resume writing, interview preparation, and career planning
• Help students search and apply for employment opportunities
• Build relationships with employers and identify job placement opportunities
• Conduct student mentoring, career coaching, and classroom presentations
• Support graduates with employment verification and placement follow-up
• Maintain accurate student records and employment documentation
• Collaborate with instructional staff and campus leadership to support student success
• Track student outcomes and ensure compliance with school and accrediting standards

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED, minimum of 2 years of experience in job placement, recruiting, advising, sales, instruction, or administrative support
• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Preferred: Experience in career services or workforce development, connections within CDL, HVAC, or skilled trades industries, experience presenting to groups or leading workshops, bilingual abilities

Schedule & Compensation

• Starting pay at $20/hour, negotiable based on experience
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings and 1–2 Saturdays per month
• 20-25 hours per week
