About the Role

As a Career Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and interpretation of assessments
  • Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum
  • Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department
  • Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered
  • Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster”
  • Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officers
  • Assisting the Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face-to-face and technology-based interactions

Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services, or corrections field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field

Pay

$41,200.00 annually
