Career Advisor, Adult/Dislocated Worker

Responsibilities
- Provide information and case management services to the community
- Complete intake and eligibility determination for workforce programs
- Assess career seekers’ employment, abilities, and training needs
- Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners
- Enter data into and use career seekers through participant information systems
- Guide career seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans
- Stay informed about labor market trends and best practices
- Counsel career seekers on job opportunities, training programs, and services
- Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities
- Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations
- Maintain accurate individual case files and ensure compliance with regulations
- Meet and exceed program benchmarks
- Participate in staff-related events and complete required reports
- Work in a dynamic team environment with excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Work 100% onsite at the designated location
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication and knowledge of community resources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work in diverse settings with cultural sensitivity
- Ability to motivate career seekers towards achieving goals
- Strong business acumen
- Exceptional time management and flexibility
- Valid driver’s license

Benefits
Career Team offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time.
Pay
$54,500 - $57,000/yr. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Schedule
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
