About the role
A CARE Team Response Technician assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
- Aiding persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
- Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of persons receiving services.
- Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
- Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least one (1) year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill persons or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
- Must have 3 months experience in a related role.
- Two (2) years’ experience in acute care setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention preferred.
- Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training within three (3) months of employment.
- Ability to demonstrate sufficient proficiency/competency in utilizing CPI.
- Ability to mentor and train others.
- Ability to demonstrate to the exemplary level our organization's values.
- Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Pay
Base pay ranges from $17.50 - $18.75 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the Central Receiving Facility. Shift differential pay is $2.00 - $4.00 per hour when applicable.

Shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
