About the role

The Experience Senior Living Team is comprised of dynamic professionals passionate about empowering people to live life to the fullest as they grow older. As a Care Partner, you will join a collaborative team focused on making a positive impact on the lives of residents, their families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living as assigned and as requested, following the service plan.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and laundry duties using established procedures and standards.
  • Review and participate in 24 Hour Reports, shift change reports, and verbal reports.
  • Assist residents to and from scheduled life enrichment programs.
  • Promote personal choices, independence, and spiritual needs of residents.
  • Provide verbal encouragement and support to residents.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal service as residents' needs change.
  • Communicate changes in residents' needs to the Director of Health & Wellness and other departments.
  • Respond to resident pendant/wearable calls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with new resident care needs and maintain established infection control practices.
  • Report all accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal care information.
  • Honor residents' personal and property rights.
  • Be knowledgeable and prepared for emergency situations, including disasters and fires.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not required.
  • License/Certificate for Medication Assistance (if applicable) per state regulations preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must complete all state and Experience Senior Living specified training programs.
  • Able to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions and handle difficult situations.
  • Communicate warmly, professionally, and effectively with residents, family members, team members, and management.
  • Make independent decisions and demonstrate a high level of service delivery.
  • Work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Neat, clean appearance according to dress code.
  • Passion for working with and around senior citizens.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize resident needs.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team, adapt to change, and maintain an ethical work environment.
