About the role
We are seeking a Care Partner/Caregiver to join our team at Highgate Senior Living. This opportunity allows you to positively impact the lives of over 700 seniors and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on and/or stand-by assistance for residents' activities of daily living
- Offer emotional, psychological, and soulful support to residents
- Ensure residents live a life of purpose and make the most of every day
- Work with residents who need physical and/or cognitive support
- Adapt quickly to the changing needs of older adults
- Gain an understanding of various forms of dementia and how to support residents with it
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification
- Ability to obtain required caregiving license within specified timeframe if necessary
- Current negative TB test
- Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours
- Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance
- Ability to pass criminal record/background check
- Efficient and good time management skills
- Able to work independently with little oversight
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Willing to attend and incorporate different types of training into work efforts
Qualifications
- Experience working in assisted living communities or memory care communities
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or healthcare
- Experience in multi-tasking roles
- Volunteer work involving vulnerable groups
- Kindness, patience, and compassion
- Ability to pivot, change direction, and accomplish tasks with innovative approaches
- Ability to develop strong working relationships
- Comfortable adapting to the changing needs of older adults
- An understanding of what it takes to provide care to residents needing physical and/or cognitive support

Our compensation package is flexible based on the credentialing, tenure, and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Being vaccinated against COVID-19 is preferred.
