About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Evening shift Care Partners to join our wonderful team. This opportunity allows you to positively impact the quality of life for over 700 seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on and stand-by assistance for the care of residents
  • Offer physical assistance with activities of daily living
  • Provide emotional, psychological, and soulful support
  • Pivot, change direction, and accomplish tasks with innovative approaches
  • Develop strong working relationships with residents and their families
  • Adapt quickly to the changing needs of an older adult
  • Gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents with dementia can continue to live with purpose

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Ability to obtain required caregiving license within specified timeframe if necessary
  • Current negative TB test
  • Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours
  • Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance
  • Ability to pass criminal record/background check
  • Be efficient and exercise good time management skills
  • Must be able to work well independently with little oversight
  • Willing to attend and incorporate into your work efforts different types of training

Qualifications

  • Good customer service skills, the ability to intuit, and problem solve
  • Patience, level headedness, and compassion
  • Ability to work with different types of people with different ability levels
  • Team player with ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Comfortable to adapt quickly to the changing needs of an older adult
  • An understanding or the willingness to gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents with dementia can continue live with purpose

Skills

  • Relatable experience working with seniors
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in hospitality or healthcare
  • Experience in volunteering with vulnerable groups
  • Experience in multi-tasking
  • Experience in providing care to residents that need physical and/or cognitive support

Benefits

Our compensation package will be flexible for this role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Prior experience working with seniors is a plus. A passion for your work and a commitment to serving others are essential job qualifications.
