Care Giver

Position Summary

The Resident Care Assistant/Care Giver at The Woodlands at Canterfield is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. The role also involves identifying residents' physical and cognitive changes and performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
• Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes, make appropriate follow-up decisions, documentation, and communication to appropriate associates.
• Auxiliary residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
• Auxiliary with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: N/A
• Experience: 1-2+ years of caregiving experience preferred
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates
