About the role

Welcome families/guardians to the Devereux Family, relaying expectations for family engagement/involvement while child is in care
Communicate with families/guardians the treatment and services being provided to their child
Participates in client treatment team meetings and reports on family engagement, supervised family visitation, family court, and care coordination activities that facilitate current treatment and discharge planning
Complete documentation related to family communication/engagement and care coordination activities, and discharge summaries

Responsibilities

  • Welcome families/guardians to the Devereux Family, relaying expectations for family engagement/involvement while child is in care
  • Communicate with families/guardians the treatment and services being provided to their child
  • Participates in client treatment team meetings and reports on family engagement, supervised family visitation, family court, and care coordination activities that facilitate current treatment and discharge planning
  • Complete documentation related to family communication/engagement and care coordination activities, and discharge summaries

Requirements

  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related discipline required.
  • Experience Requirement: Six months experience in Social Service preferred.
  • Skills Requirement: Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Other Requirements: Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license must be maintained
  • Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing
  • Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques – up-wards of 75-100 lbs. or more
  • Some repetitive wrist/hand movements
  • Normal hearing and vision
  • Significant amount of use of computers and office equipment
  • Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes
  • Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques
