Care Coordinator

Duties
- This position is a customer service and clerical support position
- Performing duties that prepare the patient for office appointments and endoscopy procedures
- This position is primarily responsible for scheduling and registration of patients for office visits, endoscopy procedures and schedules hospital procedures
- Prepares patient registration and procedure preparation paperwork; greets, assists and checks in patients for appointments and procedures
- Answers multiple telephone lines, screens calls and forwards as needed, returns voice messages
- Schedules and reschedules appointments and procedures
- Collaborates with hospital staff to coordinate hospital procedures and records
- Stocks clerical supplies; balances cash drawer/till
- Collects registration data and completes logs
- Completes insurance benefits authorization and insurance/other data entry in the medical record
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous medical reception, scheduling and/or customer service experience preferred
