Care Attendant – Assisted Living (On-Call)

Greencroft Middlebury is seeking a PRN (as-needed) caregiver for occasional hours. This role is ideal for individuals who are semi-retired, returning to the workforce, or looking to pick up extra shifts.

Schedule

On-call – shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on coverage needs. Generally, there is a 2-week notice for shifts that need to be covered.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to residents, including those with dementia
• Help with daily routines such as meals, mobility, and personal care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Respond to resident needs and call systems as needed
• Create a positive, respectful experience for residents and guests

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with older adults preferred
• Caregiving experience (personal or professional) is a plus
• Flexible and dependable with the ability to pick up shifts as needed
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work independently
