Care Associate - Memory Care (Full Time 2-10PM)

About the role

We are seeking individuals who can embody our mission to enrich the lives of those we serve through Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork. In this role, you will provide assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Offer assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, is preferred.
• You must have acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.
• You may need to hold a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You should have basic computer skills, including proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• You must be compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
• You should be able to make independent decisions when necessary.
• You must be able to solve practical problems and interact with people in various situations.
• You should maintain a positive and friendly demeanor towards residents and co-workers.
