Cardiovascular Technician

About the role

Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join their team. This position requires on-call availability and operates in a cardiac/vascular cath lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Operates specialized equipment for diagnostic and vascular tests and therapeutic interventions.
• Scrubbing at the tableside and monitoring patients as assigned.
• Patient transport as necessary.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, or reports equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Aids Technicians in performing technical tasks.
• Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs.
• Keeps current on new drugs.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or RCIS).
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• One year cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience (preferred).
• Ability to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment.
