About the role
Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join their team. This position requires on-call availability and operates in a cardiac/vascular cath lab setting.
Responsibilities
- Operates specialized equipment for diagnostic and vascular tests and therapeutic interventions.
- Scrubbing at the tableside and monitoring patients as assigned.
- Patient transport as necessary.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, or reports equipment malfunctions as needed.
- Aids Technicians in performing technical tasks.
- Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs.
- Keeps current on new drugs.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or RCIS).
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- One year cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience (preferred).
- Ability to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment.
