As a Cardiovascular Surgery RN, you will play a crucial role in the surgical team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and functioning correctly.
• Assists the surgical team with patient preparation and positioning, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
• Meticulously monitors the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure, promptly reporting any changes to the surgical team.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of complications.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides proactive assistance to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Accurately and thoroughly documents all relevant patient information, procedures, and observations.
• Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborates effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of specialized CVOR equipment and technologies.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS Certification required within 5 months.
