About the role

Join a nationally recognized leader in healthcare as a Cath Lab/EP Technologist. You will work alongside a highly trained, experienced team of advanced registry certified Special Procedures Technologists (SPTs) and physicians. Responsibilities include assisting in procedures by either panning at the procedural table or scrub-assisting, as well as supporting pre/post recovery by prepping patients, starting peripheral IV lines, and charting. You may also participate in the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program in the Hybrid Surgical Suite. While Cath Lab/EP experience is preferred, the team is willing to train new Rad Techs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate services and provide clinical support within the department.
• Perform prescribed procedures following department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide direct patient care and organize care appropriate to patient population.
• Promote interdisciplinary patient care planning and patient education.
• Serve as a resource for equipment education and provide user training on medical equipment.
• Collaborate with departments, vendors, and other teams to ensure adequate resources and coordination of safe, efficient patient care.
• Assist in interpreting department/facility/system policies within the clinical setting.
• Provide safe and cost-effective care while considering patient satisfaction and customer service.
• Perform scheduled/preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance on patient care equipment.
• Maintain communication regarding the status of equipment repairs and proactively solve technology issues.
• Support process improvement and quality management activities.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, including maintaining confidentiality and following safety policies.
• Demonstrate aseptic and sterile techniques, universal precautions, and proper disposal of sharps and supplies.
• Prepare instruments for cleaning following each case.
• Perform medical imaging responsibilities, scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law.
• Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification where applicable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or equivalent experience OR 5 years Cath Lab/EP or equivalent experience with 2 years in a moderate acuity/complex coronary environment.
• Effective communication and human relations skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes for night, holiday, and weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Additional related education and/or experience.

Schedule

• Full-Time, 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
• Call required for nights, holidays, and weekends.
