Phoenix, Arizona – Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

Join a nationally recognized leader in cardiac care as a Special Procedure Technologist. You will work alongside highly trained, advanced registry-certified SPTs and a team of physicians, contributing your knowledge and skills to a variety of procedures, including Cardiac catheterization, multi-interventions, Device Implants, Electrophysiology, Watchman, and Cardiomems. You may also assist in the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program within the Hybrid Surgical Suite. This is a multifaceted, challenging, and rewarding opportunity with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Performs specialized radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures following department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Uses independent judgment to apply learned methodologies and ensure optimal patient care.
  • Educates patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and fosters teamwork to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Performs prescribed invasive/interventional procedures in accordance with established policies.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications competently.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots issues as needed.
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to radiation safety policies.
  • Ensures ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including confidentiality.
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or less than 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or equivalent.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law.
  • Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification where applicable.
  • Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Basic understanding of Cath Lab procedures and protocols.
  • Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and ability to analyze data and solve problems.

Benefits

  • Sign-on bonus starting at $10,000.

Schedule

  • Full-Time: 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
  • On-call requirements: Nights, holidays, and weekends; must be able to respond within 30 minutes.
