About the role

Bay Area Cardiology Associates is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the Tampa Bay area. You'll work across outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings, gaining exposure to the full breadth of cardiovascular medicine — from general cardiology to subspecialty care — alongside an established team of cardiologists and experienced APPs. This is a Monday–Friday position with a shared weekend rotation approximately once per month. CVAUSA partner practice.

What you will do

  • Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions across clinic and inpatient settings
  • Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, hospital rounding, and consults
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing including EKGs, labs, imaging, and stress tests
  • Develop treatment plans collaboratively with supervising cardiologists
  • Manage medications, specialty referrals, and patient education
  • Participate in cardiovascular care across subspecialties as the practice grows

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant
  • Active Florida license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Minimum of 2 years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in any specialty
  • Cardiology or acute care experience preferred — strong interest in cardiovascular medicine considered
  • Comfortable working across multiple clinic locations within the Tampa Bay area

Schedule & compensation
