Cardiothoracic Surgery Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Specialty Job Description

• Manage post cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination
• Place invasive monitoring lines including central venous catheters, dialysis lines, and arterial access
• Contribute to ongoing education, quality, and research projects
• Participate in service-related databases
• Provide education to patients and families during their inpatient course

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one
• Graduate from accredited educational program for Nurse Practitioners
• ICU experience preferred
• Experience as an independent clinician required
