Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA)
United Health Services is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiothoracic surgery service line at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible and offers a 40-hour work week with day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care under the direction of the supervising physician(s).
- Counsel patients about concerns.
- Round on patients admitted to the hospital and review care plans with nursing staff as established by physicians.
- Assist in the operating room (vein harvest experience required).
- Perform physical assessments on patients and complete patient histories.
- Complete discharge summaries.
- Order medications, treatments, labs, and other diagnostic tests.
- Be available for call about patient conditions according to the pre-established schedule, including holidays.
- Other duties as determined by the supervising physician(s).
Requirements
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- Current licensure with the state of New York as a Physician Assistant (PA).
- Completion of an accredited PA program.
- Master of Science in a Physician Assistant-related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
$150,500 - $175,600 annually.
