About the role

The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive patient care by taking medical histories, performing physical exams, and delivering treatment in accordance with established medical plans, policies, and standards of care. They collaborate with physicians, case management, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Medication reconciliation upon admission and discharge
• Ordering and interpreting labs and imaging
• Completing discharge summaries
• Initiating advance care planning
• Supporting supportive care and hospice teams with end-of-life decisions
• Performing other assigned tasks from hospital leadership

Qualifications

• Relevant medical training and licensure
• Maintaining continuing medical education
• BLS and ACLS certifications

Skills

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently and compassionately
