Cardiology - MEDICAL ASSISTANT

About the role

Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician clinic.

Essential Duties

• Assist with patients
• Take vital signs
• Enter data in electronic medical record
• Maintain/Stock clinic supplies and exam room
• Patient assistance program for applicable patient
• Clean surgical equipment
• Clerical and other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Care

Requirements

• Demonstrates knowledge and maintains and respects patient right to privacy by following the HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR in lieu of formal education, minimum 6 months of recent Medical Assistant clinical experience

Skills

• Mobility required
• Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care
• Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers, and co-workers
• Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment

Preferred

• RMA/CMA preferred
• 6 months of clinical experience preferred
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
