About the role
Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician clinic.
Essential Duties
- Assist with patients
- Take vital signs
- Enter data in electronic medical record
- Maintain/Stock clinic supplies and exam room
- Patient assistance program for applicable patient
- Clean surgical equipment
- Clerical and other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Care
Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge and maintains and respects patient right to privacy by following the HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures

- Communicates with patients, families and customers using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank)
- Works in a safe manner and promptly reports any hazards identified in the work environment or related to assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR in lieu of formal education, minimum 6 months of recent Medical Assistant clinical experience
Skills
- Mobility required
- Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care
- Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers, and co-workers
- Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment
Preferred
- RMA/CMA preferred
- 6 months of clinical experience preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
