About the role
The cardiologist will practice in our Abingdon, Virginia location. This is a full-time position with an existing, established, stable group.
Responsibilities
- Perform an average of 65 Caths per month, roughly 40 Diagnostic / 25 Interventional Catheterizations, and also perform Permanent Pacemaker/ICD insertions
- Work within the Johnston Memorial Hospital Cath Lab, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment
- Participate in a forward-thinking organization consisting of leading-edge physicians and providers in all aspects of cardiovascular care
- Be part of a group that includes one Invasive Cardiologist, two Interventional Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioners and an excellent staff
- Receive additional support as required
Requirements
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and/or Interventional Cardiology
- Experience in interventional cardiology preferred
