About the Role

The Cardiologist will diagnose and treat diseases of the heart and its functions by:

  • Examining patients for symptoms indicative of heart disorders using medical instruments and equipment
  • Studying diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses
  • Prescribing medications and recommending dietary and activity programs as indicated

CarolinaEast Physicians consists of over 150 physicians and mid-level providers delivering care across four eastern North Carolina counties. Specialties include Primary Care, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Oncology, Urology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and Gastroenterology.

Requirements

  • Possession and maintenance of a Physician’s License from the State of North Carolina
  • Certifications from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Member in good standing of the Medical Staff of the hospital
