Cardiologist
About the role
Join us as a board-certified or residency-trained Cardiologist at VCA Aurora Animal Hospital. You'll be part of a team of over 19 veterinarians specializing in various fields, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, Radiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Anesthesia. The hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a 1.5T MRI, 3 ultrasound units, 16-slice CT, fluoroscopy, 2 x-ray machines, various scopes, HBOT, Laser, and Halcyon LinAc. Located 37 miles west of Chicago, the Aurora area includes 10 cities and towns with unique charm.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to patients and their owners
- Contribute to the ongoing education and training of veterinary students and interns
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to advancements in veterinary medicine
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated with the latest veterinary practices and technologies through continuing education
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state, or the ability to obtain
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Qualifications
- Experience in cardiology is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners

Pay
Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $300,000. This position is also eligible for production/commission and other variable pay programs.
