Cardiologist
About the role
Join CHI Health Clinic Heart Institute and Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska as a General Cardiologist. You will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, interpret advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, and help expand access to high-quality cardiology services throughout Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular disease
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic studies
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches to cardiovascular care
- Practice primarily at Nebraska Heart Institute and CHI Health Nebraska Heart Hospital
- Collaborate with specialists in Advanced Cardiac Imaging, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Participate in outreach clinics designed to expand access to cardiovascular care and strengthen regional referral relationships
- Work alongside experienced advanced practice providers and dedicated cardiovascular support staff
- Collaborate with a robust primary care referral network that supports continued practice growth
- Participate in clinical research opportunities through an established and active cardiovascular research division
- Contribute to advancements in cardiovascular medicine through participation in research and quality initiatives
- Utilize EPIC as the integrated electronic medical record platform
- Participate in educational opportunities through CHI Health's academic affiliation with Creighton University
Requirements
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Internal Medicine
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program
- Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Nebraska
