About the role

Performing diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute echocardiography scans and select appropriate transducers.
• Analyze results and report findings.
• Review patient histories and educate patients about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as needed; monitor patient condition; adjust imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards, perform quality control, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain compliance with standards.
• Utilize critical thinking and judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
• Certification as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
