Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse- PT .7 Days
JOB SUMMARY
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Registered Nurse plans and provides professional nursing care to the Cardiac Rehab participant from referral to discharge. He/she coordinates the care and education of participant and family with the other members of the Cardiac Rehabilitation team, and collaborates with the attending physician and/or Cardiologist.

Qualifications
- Understands and is able to apply nursing process while meeting established AACVPR guidelines in an outpatient Cardiac program.
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
- This RN is skilled in meeting the needs of the medically complex adult and geriatric participant.
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation of this patient group.
- Operates a computer effectively.
- Obtains nursing Continuing Education Units appropriate to clinical setting.
- Maintains BCLS Certification at the Health Care Provider level.
- Maintains ACLS Certification.
Education
- RN from accredited school of nursing.
- B.S. degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Certification in Cardiac Rehabilitation is ideal.
Experience
- At least 1 year in nursing preferred.
Licenses
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Iowa required.
