Cardiac Rehab Nurse PRN
About the Role
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse. Nursing functions involve nursing assessments, exercise evaluations, insurance benefit verifications, and multiple other nursing duties. This position utilizes excellent therapeutic communication skills in daily practice. Maintains a safe and therapeutic healing environment for patients. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of Horizon.
Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Plans individualized and holistic patient care. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- At least 6 months of RN experience required
- Telemetry or cardiac experience highly preferred
