About the role

Identify basic normal rhythms/dysrhythmias and lethal arrhythmias, report findings to appropriate personnel, label and mount rhythm strips.

Requirements

• Required Certification: None
• Required, EMT or EKG Certification preferred

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete a comprehensive, four-week internship program
• Includes in-person classroom instruction at BayCare Health System, Monitor Techs-SFBH in Lutz
• Attend classroom instruction twice a week at the Lutz campus
• Travel assistance can be arranged if transportation to the Lutz campus presents any challenges
• Must be able to pass an exam identifying basic rhythms after being trained

Education

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• May also qualify with a Certificate of Completion
