About the role

The Monitor Technician is responsible for the ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance of patient cardiac monitors/remote telemetry
• Immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms to RNs and/or clinicians

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience as a Monitor Technician
• Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course or equivalent coursework
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Preferred

• CRA (Certified Rhythm Analysis) Certification through CCI
