Cardiac Echo Technologist - York Hospital - Part-Time - Day

Responsibilities

• Performs routine & advanced cardiac ultrasound techniques and examinations.
• Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms, operative transesophageal echocardiograms, mitral valve clips and transcatheter aortic valve replacements.
• Supervises, assists, and evaluates students in the clinical education setting.
• Obtains intravenous access and administers intravenous contrast agents such as Definity and Optison.
• Performs Saline Bubble Studies.
• Prepares preliminary echocardiogram reports and measurements for physicians.
• Performs portable tests in patient rooms when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associates Degree Required
• Work Experience: 3 years Relevant experience.
• Licenses: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire Required or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Adult Echocardiography Upon Hire Required or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Fetal Echocardiography Upon Hire Required or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Pediatric Echocardiography Upon Hire Required or Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire Required and Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
• Courses and Training: Accredited program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography. Upon Hire Required.
