Cardiac Device Specialist
About the role
The Cardiac Device Specialist at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital is responsible for the monitoring, billing, and programming of cardiac devices such as Pacemakers, Defibrillators, and Loop Recorders. This position involves charting and documenting device checks, communicating with physicians and patients, and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor all cardiac devices for patients.
- Chart and document all device checks and complete reports for each patient.
- Communicate with physicians and patients regarding procedures and devices.
- Record and communicate device logs and information related to manufacturer notices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations regarding patient privacy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification (AHA Only).
- Basic EKG Interpretation class certificate is required.
- 2-3 years previous Cardiac work experience required.
- IBHRE Certified Cardiac Device Specialist Certificate from the Heart Rhythm Society is preferred but not required.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $27.00 to $40.56. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
