Job Qualifications
- Licensure: Certified/licensed by the State of Wyoming and ARRT and/or National Certification as an RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International).
- Certifications Required: See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (ACLS) required.
- 12-Lead EKG, dysrhythmia, and hemodynamic identification required within 3 months of hire.
- Experience: Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab, Interventional Radiology, emergency care, or surgery.
Essential Functions
- Assists in providing patient care to Cardiac Catheterization lab patient populations.
- Provides technical skills necessary to assist the physician performing the procedure.
- Assists cardiologist and team in recording, storing, retrieving, and analyzing data (angiographic images, procedural documentation and hemodynamic monitoring) obtained during interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of cardiac interventional equipment and supplies, utilizing critical thinking skills to resolve complex procedural situations.
- Safeguards and maintains a culture of safety, service, and quality.
- Monitors, scrubs on all Cath Lab procedures.
- Assists with preparation of radiologic and other laboratory equipment to be used during the procedure while adhering to principles of aseptic technique.
- Maintains and evaluates equipment, and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
- Provides service excellence to all customers.
- Displays efficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing, and continuing education.
- Promotes fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Participates in hospital committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program.
- May be required to work on other units according to distribution of staff and patients.
- Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining par levels. Also monitors outdates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
