About the role

Executes appropriate patient care by assisting the physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Supports team members before, during, and following procedures to assure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Registered Nurse Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama license.
  • BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • ACLS certification is required within 12 months of employment.
  • EKG Competency Testing is required within the first 90 days of employment and annually:
    • (Part 1) Visual identification of 6 Lethal Cardiac Rhythms, passing with a score of 100%;
    • (Part 2) Basic EKG Rhythms written examination, passing with a score of 85% or higher.

Additional Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic work environment related to changing daily work schedules.
  • Maintains absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
