About the Role
The Cardiac Cath Tech supports the cardiac catheterization team by assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and PCI.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment
- Assist physicians with sterile techniques
- Administer contrast media
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document cases
- Manage inventory
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively, work under pressure, and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Cardiovascular Technician (CVT) certification required
- Associate’s Degree preferred; RT (R) or RCIS certification preferred
- Valid State of Delaware license and Radiation License for fluoroscopy use
- Certifications: ARRT-CV, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke
