Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - PRN

About the role

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently function during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures under the supervision of a physician.
• Independently perform diagnostic and intervention procedures with minimal supervision.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-procedure counseling and patient education.
• Operate equipment and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
• Document patient data accurately and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.

Requirements

• AART or RRT and Active NBRC credential for RRT is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associates in Radiology + ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR
• Associates in Respiratory+ RRT (Respiratory Therapy), Active NBRC Credential for RRT + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR
• Graduate of CVT Program and No Experience OR
• 3 years of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education OR
• RCIS and/or RCES and 1 year of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education.

Skills

• Strong technical skills in cardiac catheterization lab equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
