Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Full-time position located at Resurrection Medical Center, 7435 West Talcott Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60631. New graduates are welcome; no prior experience required.

About the Role

Work in a high-acuity cath lab supporting complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures using advanced imaging and cath lab technology. Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesia in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Responsibilities

• Assist physicians (Cardiologist/Radiologist) by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures.
• Monitor par levels of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Train new staff members.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification and state licensure as required; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $34.11 to $49.41 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM).
• Rotating holidays and weekends, including required on-call duty (within 30 minutes).
