Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist II

About the role

Provides direct patient care in the cardiac catheterization setting, supporting procedures through equipment maintenance and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' medical history and current condition
• Operate specialized equipment and monitor patients during procedures
• Maintain a safe environment following universal precautions
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for smooth procedures
• Educate and support patients before, during, and after procedures
• Participate in ongoing education and mentoring to stay current with advancements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Hospital Administration or allied health field
• 1-2 years of Radiology Technical experience or over 2 years in Paramedic, Critical Care, or Emergency Nursing
• Appropriate licensure or certification such as Radiology Technologist licensure, Respiratory Therapist licensure, Cardiovascular Program graduation, or Paramedic credentialing
• Current RCIS or RCES certification required within 24 months if not obtained at hire (RCIS certification needed within 3 months of employment)
• BLS certification preferred or should be completed within 6 months
