About the role

Join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab Team at Alton Memorial Hospital where everyone has a role in providing extraordinary care. This is a PRN (as-needed) position in the Cardiac Cath Lab department and is not benefits-eligible.

Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital offering a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services, and more.

The cardiac cath department consists of highly experienced staff that performs cardiac catheterization of the heart for heart disorders. Pacemakers and ICDs are inserted in this department to enable the human heart to function properly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Associate or Trade School equivalent.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI).
  • Registered Technologist (RTR) in one or more of the following: CT, MR, M (Mammography), BD (Bone Density), CI (Cardiac Interventional), VI (Vascular Interventional), RCIS, RCES.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience: Less than 2 years.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Intravenous Therapy.
